23-May-2006 -- On the 23rd May 2006 on our way home from Birdsville after completing our Simpson Geo Expedition, we made the last of our 4 Confluence visits. It had been a long hard trip and Birdsville was a great place to take in easy for a few days after 2 weeks in the Simpson Desert.

Driving down the Birdsville Track it was only a short drive over the gibber plains to reach this confluence. Depending on which way you look at the Gibbers, they can look silver or their true colour of a red/brown. Once again when we arrived at this confluence, it was the usual photo shoot and then lunch.

From here it was a very long drive home to Clare
