Chegamos a 210m e havia mata à frente. Estava escurecendo.

04-Jul-2006 -- This confluence is on the Southwest part of the state of Goias between Jataí and Serranópolis, on a large agricultural area with soy, corn, other cereals and very dense bushes. With the help of satellite images we traced the best routes to reach this confluence.

The journey there was quite easy, on asphalt and good dirt roads.

On our first attempt we reached a small property at 1.5 mi. of our goal. Based on the GPS the confluence would be on a densely vegetated area right past a river bed. The owner told us that there were no trails in that direction. We should go back and take another option further North.

Following the directions, we avoided the bush area and follow a track through a corn field. We got to 1.24 mi and could not continue. We returned to the main road and we continue to the East. None of our attempts got us closer than 1.24 mi, walking seemed impossible under the conditions and the time of day with the sun about to set.

We decide to make a last attempt, walking, through a field recently ploughed. We arrive at 700 ft before the bushes stopped us. We found a way through until arriving 560 ft of the confluence.
We decide to come back in another occasion, earlier. We got into the pickup truck for our way back and on the maneuver, we discovered a narrow track that advanced inside of the bush. It was dark. We heard the sound of a river … or it would be a waterfall? We walked until finding the river. The confluence was 95 ft beyond the river and it did not have conditions to cross it. We took the photos using flash and we returned on the dark of night.
