16-Jul-2006 -- No proper maps are available for this region in Thailand. However, based on the experiences of an earlier visit to this area and the help of Google Earth we found out that there must be some path leading close to the confluence point. A fallen tree stopped our forthcoming before reaching the road point that is supposed to be closest to the confluence point. After another kilometer or so of walking on a dirt path we turned towards the jungle, into the direction of the confluence point. Very dense jungle and pouring rain prevented us from coming closer than 3.97km to the confluence point this time.
