27-Aug-2006 -- This morning of Sunday six members of the O.R.C. Bolivia (www.orcbolivia.com) took a secondary route from La Paz city to the border with Chile.

After 120 km and at 3.967 AMSL we arrived at the confluence located a few kilometers off the population of San Andrés de Machaca.

After a long walk of 15 minutes we located the exact site and we started to register and to photograph the place, located near the top of a small hill, in the middle of a plain and surrounded solely by small stone walls made by the settlers to keep the animals away of some areas.

Remote of the region and the desolated of the zone it makes us really feel like conquerors, this far away region reminds us that people exist who live in very hard conditions.

After having lunch near the place we took a route for our return to La Paz at which we arrived in the night.
