#1: Overview

(visited by Stephan Angsüsser, Xu Wang-Angsüsser and Chuan Lu Wang)

06-Nov-2006 -- After our first successful visit during this journey (see 35°N 117°E), we decided to hunt for another point near the border between Shandong and Henan province. This time we (my wife, my father-in-law and I) started at 11.10 am on Nov 6th, 2006 at the long distance bus station in Jinan. We took a bus towards Hezhe and jumped off after a two hours ride in the bigger village Yinshan. After lunch we hired a taxi and left the village about 14.20 pm. Twenty minutes later we crossed the provincial border between Shandong and Henan at a temporary bridge over the Yellow River. This was the most spectacular moment of our hunt! Without any problems we reached the point in the village Jiahe about 10 minutes past 3 pm. The point is directly on a street at the east side of the village.

After a twenty minutes break we drove on to the next little town Tai Qian, where we arrived about 4 pm. From there we took a bus, crossed the border to Shandong and arrived in Liaocheng about 17.30 pm. By the way Liaocheng has also some interesting historical spots, we visited next day. Without our confluence hunt we would probably have never seen them.
