17-Mar-2007 -- Having "completed" a repeat visit to 53N 03W by sitting in the car and taking some pictures, it was off to a juicier challenge. Something to get the legs & lungs working hard....
A fairly boring 90 minutes or so later and I am sat in the car park at the foot of the cliffs that mark this CP. By now the sun has gone in, there is drizzle and a strong biting cold wind. Wrap up well and off we go!
I had decided to take some slightly different pictures on the way in, but it soon became apparent that the weather was the real winner on this occasion. The top of the hills were inside the cloud cover!
Change of plan, walk straight in, document it walk back out again...along the way I saw a couple being given a tour by an employee of the power station and a large group out for a walk.
Arrive at the CP, visibility probably less than 50 yards, certainly less than the several miles shown here at my previous visit.
My new GPS gets a chance to show it's stuff with an accuracy of just 9 feet.
Started the walk back out and it was a good job I had set way points on the way in, when the cloud is this low you lose all landmarks!
