03-May-2007 -- After a technical assistance on a rubber plantation near Daoukro with my two colleagues, Cassio Scomparin (from Brazil) and Mr Echimane (from Côte d'Ivoire), we were coming back to Abidjan: as the Confluence was close to the road, we tried to join it.
Coming from Daoukro, we stopped the car on the right side on a dirty track, 1.9 km on the east side of the point, 8 km from Daoukro. We walked on a main small track made by the smallholders to go to their fields on the west direction: we had to turn on the left side after about 1 km. We crossed a coffee field, using a small track, then a peanuts field: on the SW side of this field, a small track was entering into the bush, arriving in a Yam field, followed by a coffee field, and then the small track leads us to a cassava field near the confluence point, which was in the fallow: we had to enter 20 meters in the fallow to reach the confluence 7N 4W.
It took about 1 hour, and we walked 2.33 km to reach the point. The GPS precision shows 16 meters on the picture because it was under a shrub, but we have been up to 11 m precision.
