(visited by Nageco Survey 201, Joe Spiteri, Mustafa Saad, Mohamed Zubeir and Ramadan Ibrahim)

02-Jun-2007 -- NAGECO Crew 201 is currently conducting a seismic survey in the Samāḥ Area of the Sahara desert in GSPLAJ Libya. The confluence point at 27N 20E is located approximately 165 kilometers from the current crew's base camp. A visit to this location was conducted on the morning of the 2nd June 2007.

Four men traveling in two separate 4-wheel drive vehicles, equipped with survival equipment, spare wheels and extra fuel, made up the team for this scouting trip. The confluence point itself is located in a remote area surrounded by sand dunes. The terrain consisted of sand dune ridges separated by smooth undulating plains in between.

The team departed from base camp at 6:45 a.m. and traveled in a southeast direction to reach the Confluence Point just before 11:00 a.m. The four men involved in this visit were Muḥammad Zubayr, Muṣṭafā Sa`d, Ramaḍān Ibrāhīm, and Joseph Spiteri.

Photos were taken to show the landscape at the four quadrants as seen from the location itself. The handheld Garmin GPSMAP 276C was used to locate the point.
