23-Jun-2007 --

23-Jun-2007 -- This day I decided to visit the confluences located in the province of Leon. They are to the north of the province and I visited them from west to east.

This confluence is located next to the dam of Riaño. In order to arrive you take the highway that goes from Riaño to Cangas de Onís, being the point to the right from the highway. Once I left the car, I walked into a meadow, without seeing any cattle in the area despite hearing them from time to time.

After covering 120 ms I was there, in a clear between the vegetation. The dam was not visible, but you can enjoy the slopes of mountains with its green meadows

Once visited the confluence, I enjoyed the views. The landscape is pretty, with the mountains being reflected in the dam; but it most have been prettier before the waters flooded the valley and covered Riaño and several towns. When the dam level is low you can still see the streets of the old Riaño causing a nostalgic sensation.
