27-Jun-2007 -- We decided to pass the Confluence 22N 42E on Wednesday, 27 June 2007 when we were visiting Bīša. The Confluence is about 5 km from the asphalt road and about 15 km from al-Khurma. al-Khurma is one of Makka's governorates. We visited the Confluence at 3:00 p.m. The nearest villages are Abū Jumayda, which is 6 km to the Northeast, and al-Watāt, which is 7 km to the East.

This Confluence is to the South of the protectorate "Maḥāzat al-Ṣayd", the biggest protectorate in the K.S.A. This protectorate has al-Waḍīḥiyy (Arabian oryx) and al-Ri'm (white antelope) animals, and also some species of birds, as al-Ḥubāriyy (bustard). The protectorate is about 4 km away and the area of the Confluence has black stones. The Confluence is in the geograhic part named the "Arabic Shield" (al-dir` al-`arabiyy) and it has a lot of Acacia trees.

قررنا المرور بالملتقى ٢٢/٤٢ يوم الأربعاﺀ الموافق ٢٧/٦/٢٠٠٧م وذلك عند ذهابنا إلى محافظة بيشة وكان الملتقى قريب من الطريق المسفلت ويبعد عنه بحدود ٥ كلم، وهو ضمن حدود محافظة الخرمة، ويبعد عنها ١٥ كلم، ومحافظة الخرمة تتبع إدارياً منطقة مكة المكرمة، وكان وقت الزيارة للملتقى الثلاثة عصراً، وأقرب بلد للملتقى قرية أبو جميدة حوالي ٦ كلم من جهة الشمال شرق، وبلدة الوطاة ٧ كم من جهة الشرق. ׳

والملتقى يقع جنوب محمية محازة الصيد أكبر محمية مسيجة بالسعودية، وهي محمية لحيوان الوضيحي، وغزال الرئم، وكذلك بعض أنواع الطيور مثل الحباري. وتبعد عنه المحمية ٤ كلم تقريباً، وأرضية الملتقى حصوية سوداﺀ، وهو يقع داخل النطاق الجغرافي الذي يسمى الدرع العربي، ويكثر حوله أشجار الأكاسيا. ׳
