#1: The confluence point - trees all over

(visited by Barbara Loebau, Rainer Pfluger and Nelly Löbau)

11-Sep-2007 -- During our second holiday in France (the first we spent in the Auvergne), we (Barbara, Nelly and Rainer) cycled with our tandem "Pino" and trailer from Forcalquier via Sionce, Malllefongassse and St. Donat to les Mées. There we had some delicious lunch to be ready for the heavy inclined road D101 up to 780 m where we followed the small gravel road to the south as long as possible. Nelly fell asleep in her trailer.

We left the bike at the small road and went on with the trailer only. Finally, some 300 m from the CFP, Nelly awoke and guided us with the GPS across a field, till we reached the dense bushes and trees. We took the photos at the CFP-place with the accuracy of some 5 meters. After the obligatory photo-session, we followed the D101 down to Puimichel, but it was really hard work because of the rough gravel road and the steep ups and downs- no fun at all with a trailer and some 15 kg Nelly in it!

But from Puimichel it was a wonderful ride all the way down to Oraison with the last light of the day and back to Forcalquier with the stars above us.

Coordinator's Note: This visit is marked as incomplete as it doesn't meet the photo requirements.
