21-Dec-2007 -- Today is the first day of my Christmas holiday trip to Queensland on which I hope to pick up a few confluences along the way. It's been a long time between drinks, but I'm hoping to get back into the hobby again now.

This is quite an easy confluence to get to from the major town of Griffith in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area of New South Wales.

We parked the car about 60 metres from the confluence and jumped a small fence for a short stroll out to the point.

Just as we were approaching the confluence, we spotted what I think is a common blue-tougue lizard next to a bush well within a 5 metre radius of where my GPS suggested the confluence was.

You can see the lizard in most of the photos which gave the kids quite a thrill (and me too I have to admit).
