#1: 53°N 8°E is in the meadow right of the shrub.

(visited by Henk Pouwels)

28-May-2008 -- Halfway betweeb Cloppenburg and Friesoythe on the B27 you turn to Bösel. In Bösel follow direction Garrel and you drive the Garrelerstrasse (marked in bright green). At the end of a patch of forest with a brook turn left and left again. Follow this road, called Barkenmoor, pass a newly build farm and prepare for walking.

The DCP is in a newly seeded meadow in front of the shrub. Walking along a small ditch bordering the field I saw a hare looking in the direction of the DCP. Is this hare interested in DCP-hunting too?

I didn’t enter the field but kept the edge. The closest measurement, (top-right) calculates as 45 m.

The North looking photograph shows a new building that is missing at the photographs of former visitors and is missing in the Google Earth imagery. The small row of brighter pixels at the end of the ditch is the roof of my car.

The crop in the East is wheat; the road in the South is the “Hauptstrasse”. The farm with micro camping in the West is the farm that is passed by after the “turn left and left again” manoeuvre described above.
