23-Aug-2008 -- Quatrième visite pour cette confluence, la dernière date de 2005. Nous sommes venus par Bayonville-sur-Mad. Sur les photos satellite, nous avions vu des chemins qui conduisent à la confluence, mais très vite en quittant Bayonville, après un tunnel sous le chemin de fer et une scierie, nous avons dû nous arrêter parce que le chemin était trop mauvais pour notre voiture. Nous avons donc continué notre promenade à pieds. Très joli chemin, mais ça monte ! Et arrivés au-dessus du plateau, 160 mètres plus haut que Bayonville, nous avons trouvé un très bon chemin, tout à fait praticable en voiture, qui aboutit probablement à Villecey-sur-Mad. Avis aux paresseux : laisser tomber Bayonville et essayez par Villecey, ou même par Pagny-sur-Moselle, plus au sud.

La confluence est juste au bord du chemin. Belle forêt avec des hêtres et des chênes, beaucoup de fleurs et plein de mûres, récoltées juste sur le point. En cette saison, la forêt est assez dense, et il nous a fallu un peu de temps pour trouver les coordonnées exactes sur le GPS.

De retour vers notre voiture, nous avons rencontré un habitant du village qui nous a dit qu’un taureau méchant était juste sur notre chemin. Il s’était sauvé de son enclos et il semble que ça lui arrive souvent. En sortant du bois, nous l’avons effectivement rencontré et nous avons dû faire un grand détour, il n’avait vraiment pas l’air très sympathique…

23-Aug-2008 -- Fourth visit for this confluence, the last was in 2005. We came to Bayonville-on-Mad. On the satellite pictures, we had seen paths which lead to the confluence. But very quickly after leaving Bayonville towards the south, after a tunnel under the railroad and a sawmill, we had to stop because the path was too bad for our car. We thus continued by foot. Very pretty way, but that goes up! And when we arrived on the plateau, 160 meters higher then Bayonville, we found a very good path, easily practicable by car, which probably comes from Villecey-on-Mad. Advice to the lazy visitors: avoid Bayonville and try to reach the confluence from Villecey, or even from Pagny-sur-Moselle, more in the south.

The confluence is right at the edge of the path. Beautiful forest with beeches and oaks, a lot of flowers and full of blackberries, collected just on the point. In this season, the forest is rather dense, and we needed a little time to get the exact coordinates on the GPS.

On our way back to the car, we met an inhabitant of the village who informed us that a nasty bull was right on our way. It had escaped from a field and it seems that it happens quite often. When we came out of the forest, we actually met it and we had to make a great turning to avoid it, it really did not look like friendly…
