(visited by Javier Valles and Raquel Serna)

25-Jul-2008 -- This day my girlfriend Raquel and I went from vacations to Cadiz. We were by the Silver Route, old way that communicated the South and the North of the Iberian Peninsula. Taking advantage of the trip we decided to visit this confluence and the N37° W6°, because it only supposed small deflections from the Silver Highway.

When arriving at Monesterio we took direction towards Pallarés and Puebla del Maestre, and there towards Cortijo Majadales. From here and during about 2,5 km we used a road in good state until getting within 200 m of the confluence. Once we left the car we crossed a small fence and we arrived at the point bordering the channel from a small, dry stream. The point is placed underneath an oak a few meters off the stream previously mentioned. The landscape was quite dry as it shows in the photos, totally different from the previous visitors due to the date difference.

Once secured the point we followed by the way until the dam of “El Pintado”, shared by the provinces of Badajoz and Seville. In its border we eat, and later we went towards El Real de la Jara crossing the part of the Natural Park “Sierra Norte” of Seville. Next we entered Huelva and we retook the Silver Highway in Santa Olalla del Cala.
