#1: Point of return, around 800m from the confluence point

(visited by Sven Loechner and Simone Klotz)

11-Aug-2009 -- We saw in our map that this point is very close to Highway 37 (less than 3 km) as we were driving north to the Alaska Hwy.

So we stopped there, prepared everything and started along an old lane through this forest. Simone and I were making good time on the first 700 m. But suddenly things were not so good anymore. We went slowly into an area of very wet and muddy ground. Later we realized that this was more or less a small lake. Slowly finding a way around this area we were running out of time for the last 800m, knowing that we had still to surround a real lake. So we decided to turn back and leave this point for as "incompleted". On the way back, we find another former forest road, pointing to our old lane. But on this way there was also a muddy and water filled area, bigger than the first one. So it took us again ages to reach the street again.
