08-Nov-2010 -- Also this year with our off road cars, we have been in Algeria to do a wonderful travel in the South of the country. Initially we had planned to go from Tamanrasset to Djanet and then come back to Tamanrasset via another track, but political problems have closed all the Ahaggar region, so we decided to visit the Tassili-n-Ajjer, the Tadrart and Erg ti-n-Merzouga, starting from Djanet.
But our original program also foresaw to leave the cars in Tamanrasset to continue the travel in Mali in the Christmas holidays. So during the long transfer to Tamanrasset we decided to do a deviation from the trans-Saharan road, to visit the confluence 30N 3E. But while trying to reach the Confluence from the road, we met some insuperable sand dunes with a lot of fech fech, so we decided to go to the Confluence with a little trekking of 4.5 km.
So at 10:29 a.m. on 8 November 2010, me and Federica, with our dear friend Alessandro, reached the Confluence. The Confluence is located in a gassi, surrounded by little and medium dunes with wonderful patterns.
Two days later we arrived in Tamanrasset.
