12-Dec-2010 -- After a Saturday night discussion, we all decided on Sunday to meet this confluence point for the second time. Why second?
We had already tried it before but after arriving home, and checking the GPS track, we found out that we missed it for 200 meters. This time we re-checked it and we also left a mark for future travellers.
The point is in a very nice area. One hour of sand dunes driving with all the traps that the Namib desert can give you, looking to a beautiful landscape and a fantastic wildlife (springbok, oryx).
Future travellers, please, write on the pvc pipe that we left there as a symbol of discovery, and a nice way to prove your presence. Remember to take a nice marker pen.
Coordinator's Note: The Degree Confluence Project strongly discourages the leaving of a permanent marker especially in wild areas.
