18-May-2011 -- A trip to my friend in Norway gave me the possibility to visit several Confluence Points. The first one of this journey was the CP 53°N-10°E, situated about five kilometres beeline east from the motorway A7 junction Soltau Ost, Niedersachsen.

After turning from the motorway to the B71, direction east, I took this road for about five kilometres. Now it is 1,7 km direction south. Here, at a junction into a small paved road direction east is a road sign “Schiesslärm” – “fire noises” was installed. I never saw such a sign before. And indeed continuous loud shooting noises were heard. I parked the car only 220 meters from the confluence at a junction 60 meters after the little rail subway.

A bicycle way (“Radwander Rundweg Heideregion”) is nearly passing the Confluence Point. Next to this sign I parked the car. The way by foot was very easy to walk because a partly overgrown dirt road is leading directly to the CP. The confluence dance lasted a little bit longer than usual because of the thick leave cover and in addition to this the cloudy sky. But at luck the display of the GPS showed the exact coordinates quite soon. Only the precision of signal was with 4 meters not very good. Later at home by watching the pictures I recognised the old bullet casings in the ditch

This Confluence visit was quite easy to realise because of the good accessibility. The next one should be the Confluence Point 54°N-10°E.
