31-Jul-2011 -- It is a fairly uneventful drive from 51N-01W, we reach the M25 ready to go South. Luckily for us as going North is 4 lines of stationary traffic as far as the eye can see!
We arrive at the CP parking spot from the West, pull over, park up and get out into lovely warm sunshine. This will be a nice little stroll.
I asked Shawn to lead us off and we set off down the left hand path, about half way down we cross over to where the pens should be for the game birds. All of them gone, every single one, guess it didn't pay off as a business then.
There is though a small crop of very small corn, only about 3' high, nothing like the 6' high corn crop I saw in Texas at 31N-97W.
Carry on around to the CP and see if we can get our GPS unit's to agree, we got pretty close. Only being out by .0002 of a degree. I'll settle for that.
Having spent a very pleasant 30 minutes at the cp we made our way back to the car, stopping for a pint of real ale and something to eat at a typical village pub.
All in all, a great day out, thanks for the company Shawn.
