12-Nov-2011 - At 11:20 am, November 12, 2011, nine hunters of Confluencias Peruanas reached confluence S11 W75, located at the department of Junín.

The approach

At 10:00 pm of Friday November 11, eight hunters left Lima in two vehicles toward Junín. At midnight we crossed Ticlio, the highest road point of the Central Andes, and at dawn we arrived to the high jungle, i.e., the border between the low jungle and the Andes.

On Pichanaki, the last city before entering a small rural road, we met a new friend who gladly agreed to join us not quite understanding what the big deal behind hunting a confluence was.

After a good breakfast, we headed south, driving along a well maintained rural road and about an hour later we decided to start walking as we were just 1160 meters away from the confluence!

The hunt

At 10:15 am we started to walk under the rain, crossed a river and walked along a small trail marked by rustic vehicles' wheels. We passed a stream and finally, traversing a slope without losing altitude, arrived at 11:20 am to the confluence S11W75, located in the middle of a small coffee field.

The sky had already cleared up, so did the doubts and uncertainties of the new hunters, and the awaited question began to be asked: when and where will be the next hunt?
