  31°S 116°E (visit #1) (incomplete)

#1: The confluence is 1.4kms down this fenceline

(visited by Donna Weston, Sarah Long, Peter Long and Madeleine Long)

19-Nov-2000 -- Well, we had a drive up to Mogumber, a little place southwest of New Norcia, to try and find 31S 116E. From Mogumber, drive about 13 kms north on the road to Moora, and turn left onto Gillingarra Road West. Go over the railway line and keep going to the end of the bitumen road. Not long after the road becomes unsealed, turn left onto Rogers Road and follow it right down to the end (about 8kms) to the farmhouse. We couldn't find anyone to ask permission of, and ended up 1.4 kms from the confluence. It was tempting, but we didn't want to go wandering around private property - so near, but so far!

We drove back to New Norcia for a picnic lunch, then visited the Museum and bought New Norcia Nutcake :*)))
