21-Aug-2012 -- During the summer holidays with Croatia as the most southern destination there were some opportunities to reach confluence points. In the end eight CPs in five states could be visited. After the visit of the CP 45N 14E the seventh visit took place in Italy, around 20 kilometers west of Udine. It was the CP 46N 13E.

Coming from the Adria we followed the A4 to the Northwest. After a short break at the river Isonzo, as a likely spot for swimming, we took the SS252 which leads very straight in the direction of the Confluence 46N 13E. The well prepared roads and the low traffic made it easy to approach the aimed CP. After viewing junctions we finally reached the village San Lorenzo. It was a Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. and the church bells were ringing continuously.

Soon I found the house with the CP on its ground. Nobody was at home only a dog was barking again continuously. The dogs of the neighbours joined in. Maybe the owners were still at work. By exploring the area I found a public byway on the left side of the property. On this way I directly had access to the CP. Without being disturbed by the dog I could do all the pictures and finalize the visit of the Confluence Point 46N 13E. An interesting architectural detail is the kind how the citizens build up their houses. At least partly they use the pebble stones of the river Isonzo, I guess.

This was the seventh successful Confluence visit during this holidays. Now the journey continued direction north, to Bruneck and from there to the Confluence 47N 12E as objective location.
