20-Apr-2013 -- Another day, another trip, another holiday, another drive up.
We are off on holiday to the very north west tip of Wales - The Isle of Anglesey. It genuinely is an island reached by a bridge. With another bridge to reach another island where you get the ferry over to Ireland.
The place we are headed for is a detached cottage on the shore of a 65 acre lake, just 600 yards from the beach.Plenty of scope for walking and we intend to do lots of it.
But before we can get there we have a 229 mile drive according to a certain well known on line mapping service. If we detour via this point it drops to 218 miles due to the different routing, a bit slower, but we're on holiday...
I have of course been here a few times before, the first time back in November 2001, but this is the first time I have been here with my wife Lynn and Oscar the dog.
As you drive up the A483 the CP is off to the right, peel off left, over the top of the A483 and it's about a mile to the tree lined and at this time of year, tree covered lane where the CP lies.
Park up, visit done! Off we go.
Well, not actually, we did of course get out and have a wander up and down the lane, taking the chance to stretch our legs and let Oscar explore. Seems like there are loads of interesting smells to be sniffed out!
We spend about 20 minutes here, enjoying a drink and a snack before packing back up and off for the final stretch to our holiday destination.
