15-Jan-2014 -- We spent two days at a beautiful campsite outside Niebla. Our intention was to spend a couple of days at the lake Puyehue. The lake is further south and inland. First we drove to Valdivia and visited the fruit and fish market. After having a fantastic lunch we went shopping and continued to travel onto the road 207 towards the national road No 5 (Pan Americana).
After driving for a while Babs realized that we are very close to a confluence. She set our GPS and we got as close as 170 meters to the confluence. It would have been difficult to get from this point to the confluence. We continued on the road and found the access road to the farm where the confluence is situated. We parked our vehicle next to the road and walked the remaining 380 meters first towards the old farm house and then onto a meadow where we located the confluence.
After making the necessary pictures we returned to our car. Shortly before we reached our car we meet the lady of the farm she just got back from shopping groceries. With our limited Spanish we tried to explain to her our reason of being here she had no objection what so ever and we continued our drive to the lake. It was our first confluence in South America.
