06-Aug-2013 -- The 57th European Go Congress took place in Olsztyn in Masuria and of course we planned to visit a confluence point this year, too. With the given distance to the nearest DCP an afternoon was sufficient. After everybody had finished their Go tournament games of the day, we drove from Olsztyn on the DK16 towards North East, direction Biskupiec.

We traversed Biskupiec on the DK57 and from there we went North on the DW596 to Bęsia and from there on a minor country road to Kolno. At the village we parked the car in the shade and walked the final distance of about 500 meters. On the street towards Ryn Reszelski, which goes north north east, there are a few more houses of Kolno. There we took a path to the right which lead us to a maize field which had been harvested already some time ago, where the confluence point can be found.

A short confluence dance very quickly gave the desired zeros on the various GPS devices. We celebrated the moment and took pictures of the the four cardinal directions. The previously mentioned houses of Kolno can be seen to the West, and to the North you get a good view of the rolling landscape of Masuria. To the West and to the South the maize field ranges almost to the horizon due to the rising terrain. Near the CP I discovered a local inhabitant, presumably a green frog. We returned to Olsztyn, altogether we covered a distance of roughly 130 km in four hours.
