27-Jun-2015 -- We discovered this confluence surprisingly close and with easy access from Addis Ababa. While listening to the Doors and enjoying rural landscapes of Ethiopia, we found the point on the agriculture field not far from Ziway rift lake.
As there is almost no uninhabited place in this country, only several minutes after we photoproved our discovery, serious-looking Ethiopians on a bike approached us with a series of WTF questions. Have you ever tried to explain to an African country-man what longitude, GPS, or Confluence is?
We decided not to and pretended to be geologists or agriculture specialists or... whatever. Friendly selfies helped to reduce tension and before attracting too much attention, we retreated to our car and sneaked out.
