01-Jan-2016 -- Vorher: 53°N 4°W.

Weiter: 53°N 6°E.

01-Jan-2016 -- The 13th confluence point of our journey. The days between Christmas and New Year we were in Edinburgh and at Loch Awe in Scotland. The first station of our return trip was the ship hoist in Falkirk. At the New Year’s Day it was of course inoperative but it was very lovely.

Only a few kilometres away was this confluence point. We parked at the end of a road at a small house. On the road was a young huntsman who observed us from a distance. When we wanted to go on the meadow, the huntsman came to us and told us that we had to ask the owner of this land. After some discussions we went to the farmer. He listened to our wish and then he told us where the gates are. The huntsman went home and we went through the wet grass to the confluence point. The pictures were made fast and without the huntsman it would have taken only 30 minutes.

So we hadn’t time to visit the cross at York. But luckily we hadn’t trouble with the flood that struck northern England at the end of the year and we arrived on time at our ferry in Hull. Next: 53°N 6°E.
