#1: You'd think it would show on the ground

(visited by John Cranfield and Nick Cline)

05-Jan-2001 -- I just became aware of the project yesterday and since I just got a GPS unit it appealed to me. Then I noticed that this one was just up the road.

Nick has a digital camera so I dragged him away from a nice warm computer into the snow.

The convergence lay accross a snow covered apple orchard and seemed to lay at the bottom corner. As we dragged our feet through 12 inches of crusty snow the bottom corner of that orchard seemed to get further away. Well it wasn't to be the GPS said the spot was in some thick woods a little to the west and north. Now the fence round the orchard was built to keep deer out which meant it was electrified but we not to be deterred and chanced climbing through the fence. All was well we didn't get fried. Some ten minutes or so wandering in the wood landed us at the spot but the pictures are not very exciting just a lot of trees and a little snow.
