Parei o carro a 1.950 metros do ponto exato.

This narrative continues from 14S 46W.

I spent the night of Saturday, August 31, to Sunday, September 1, in a hotel in Brasília city. At the end of the morning of Sunday, I caught a bus heading to Uberlândia city, Minas Gerais state. The bus stopped to the snack at Catalão city, Goiás state, coincidentally, in the same restaurant that I had stopped in the trip that I made to visit the 18S 48W, in June.

I arrived at Uberlândia at evening and, sometime after, I caught other bus to Ituiutaba city, Minas Gerais state, where I arrived about 23:00. I went straight to the hotel.

In the following day, Monday, I rented a car and went straight to the 19S 50W confluence. I followed by BR-365 highway by about 50 kilometers up to turn left and start the long leg in dirt road, 20 kilometers long, which was in good condition and crossed beautiful landscapes of cattle farms. The way included a cross of a gate, which wasn't locked. I stopped the car 1,950 meters to the exact point.

Almost all the hike was by cattle areas and, in some regions, I must to make some detours in order to avoid areas with so much cattle. I got all GPS zeroes and made all the way back to the car and to the BR-365 highway.

Back to the highway, instead of came back to Ituiutaba, I headed to the line between Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul states. Before, I stopped to take a snack, replacing the lunch, in Iturama city. I crossed the interstate line by a beautiful bridge over Paranaíba River and, sometime after, I arrived at Paranaíba city, where I spent the night.

My objective going to the Mato Grosso do Sul state was to prepare me to the third confluence of the trip, the 20S 51W one, located inside Paranaíba River and in the line between Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul states. As it can be realized, in this trip, my objective wasn’t to visit as many confluences as possible, but to visit three very specific confluences that, as cited in the previous narrative, are very important to me.

The importance of the 14S 46W confluence was explained in the previous narrative. In relation to 19S 50W and 20S 51W confluences, their importance is related to my objective of visiting all confluences of Minas Gerais state. Before this trip, I had 35 visited confluences in the state, and 17 ones are remaining. However, 15 out of these 17 are close enough to my home in Montes Claros city to be reached in a weekend, even though I must travel by bus the whole night, as I usually do. The only two confluences that are so far to be reached in a weekend are exactly the 19S 50W and 20S 51W ones. Because of this, I chose these confluences to be visited in my short vacations.

This narrative continues on 20S 51W.
