#1: View south is a general overview of the area and the large, empty field.

(visited by Jamie Zelazny)

03-Mar-2023 -- I first visited this confluence in August of 2003. At the time it was the first documented confluence in Nicaragua. Now twenty years later I returned to see if anything had changed.

Last time I was here, I walked all the way from Granada. Today I rode my motorcycle and was able to park within 100 meters of the confluence.

Very little has changed. There is a dry riverbed nearby, and the confluene is located on the edge of a field. Unlike twenty years ago, today the field is very much overgrown.

To the north there are a few houses barely visible though the dense trees.
