#1: View from Confluence to North

(visited by Kent Oldham and Charles Oldham)

18-Mar-2001 -- Moab, Utah is famous for its National Parks (Arches and Canyonlands) and its red rock canyons. However, when Charles came down from Seattle, he wanted to do a degree confluence. We hiked about 2 miles from the nearest dirt trail. Steep walled washes make it nearly impossible for even the most adventurous 4-wheelers to make it to the confluence. Antelope were a common sight on walk in. We are told that black bears are seen occasionally in the area, but not this trip. If you try it in summer, pack water.
