06-Nov-1999 -- This was a pretty easy one to get to, first there's a big sign on the highway telling you when you've hit 45 degrees north. And yes, I checked it with the GPS - those highway engineers got it right on the dot.

A couple of dirt roads over and you hit the confluence. The GPS photo is right on the side of the road. I tried to get that last second of longitude to tick over, even tried holding it at arm's length through the fence, but no luck. Going through the fence was not an attractive idea after I filled up at the local gas station / convenience store - all the other patrons were buying rifle ammo.
