20-May-2001 -- A couple of months after our first confluence trip we decided it was time to contribute more to the project. Our adventurous minds yearned for more! Logical(?) conclusion was to head out for 61N 28E, the easternmost spot on latitude 61 (in Finland; wake up, Russian confluence hunters, please!).
On the way back, we could also catch 61N 27E.
8 o'clock on sunday morning, despite of rather not-so-promising weather, Olli's fire-engine red VW Golf picked me up and we were on the road. In about 2 hours, we managed to navigate to Torola and to be more precise, Mantyla farm courtyard where we (after given permission) parked the car.
The confluence point was less than hundred meters away and easily accessible, in a corner of a farm field (again!). There was a gas pipe construction site nearby, almost at the confluence.
Back at the farm house, we told the farmer the location, and he was positively interested - we spent some time examining a quite detailed map of the area he had, as he's planning to build a new house. He said he would visit the Confluence Project site.
