(visited by Larry Mays)

22-May-2001 -- The point is about five miles northeast of Garrison, UT, in the Snake Valley. The Snake Valley runs north-south between the Snake Range on the west and several smaller ranges on the east. The point is about 1/2 mile from the end of a track that parallels a small irrigation ditch in a flat, arid, sparsely vegetated hard-pan. I was able to drive cross-country to near the point before my nerves failed from fear of a flat from the numerous cacti or getting stuck in a soft sandy spot. As it turned out, I could have driven right to it, and the surface was so hard I had a tough time following my own tracks back to the road.
