01-May-2001 -- From Wroclaw - Piotrkow Trybunalski - Kielce road we turned right just past Piotrkow.
We drove about 40 kms on secondary roads to reach Przedborz, a small town lying in
picturesque region of Przedborz - Malogoszcz range. Quite by accident we came across
a steppe vegetation reserve Murawy Dobromierskie (Dobromierz Greenswards).
Spring is finally there - white flowers of sloe flourish everywhere.
After another eight kms we arrived to our goal. The confluence N51 E020 lies on a small hill
south-west of Kajetanów, with a splendid view to a green fields and forrest covered hills. I stopped 10 meters from the point because it was situated on somebody's field and I did not want to tresspass.
On our road to Kielce we visited a Checiny Castle. A lot has changed since my last visit back in 1988 - you have to pay a entry fee, but at last the castle is well kept, eastern tower is accessible for tourists - iron staircase leads 18 meters up (GPS measurement ;-)) to a terrace with a view onto Swietokrzyskie Mountains - from Zelejowa Crest, Poslowickie Range culminated by Patrol and Telegraf hills to Kielce seen clearly on a horizon.
We reached Kielce after driving 342 kms.
I'd like to thank Piotr Mrugasiewicz for lending me his GPS device (mine is broken...)
