23-Aug-2001 -- About 15 years ago, the members of this expedition had trekked about 250 meters away, without being aware of the existence of a confluence point in the vicinity. The point is behind a fence, but there was no trouble in getting over.

Then, we tried climbing Peña Ubiña (2400 meter) but we lost the track and climbed another peak instead. As night was coming and retracing our steps would take too much time, we decided to postpone it for a better occasion.

Interestingly enough, fifteen year ago we missed the confluence point but reached the summit of the peak... trekking in thick fog.

Hace alrededor de quince años los mismos protagonistas habíamos pasado a escasos 250 metros de este punto sin saber claro está que era un punto de confluencia. El punto en cuestión resultó estar dentro de un cercado, pero resultó muy fácil el acceder.

Después intentamos la ascensión a Peña Ubiña (2400 metros) pero equivocamos el camino y subimos a un pico aledaño, como ya era tarde y teníamos un camino de retorno largo y por una carretera muy complicada, desistimos de intentarlo de nuevo.

Curiosamente este pico lo habíamos hecho hace quince años con una densa niebla.
