03-Sep-2001 -- Strictly speaking, this point is located inside the borders of the province of Burgos, but the nearest road begins at Cobos de Cerrato in Palencia. I reached that while returning from my holidays. No difficulty at all. The landscape is the standard for Castilla, wheat and barley fields.

I got the impression that not many cars would follow that road, because the inhabitants were used to walking leisurely by the middle of the lane. Everybody stared at me, possibly trying to make up if I was somebody known and I think they would spend the following night mulling over who the heck I was and what I was looking for.

Some kilometres away, I found a flock of these very conspicuous birdies. I am not quite sure but I am inclined to suspect them not belonging to the local wildlife.

Este punto de confluencia se encuentra en la provincia de Burgos (creo) pero la carretera más próxima sale de Cobos de Cerrato (Palencia). Este punto lo hice en el camino de vuelta de las vacaciones. No presenta ninguna dificultad y de nuevo es un paisaje típico de Castilla terreno de secano de trigo y cebada.

Daba la impresión que a Cobos de Cerrato debían llegar pocos coches, pues la gente paseaba con gran parsimonia por el centro de la calzada. Además cuando pasé con el coche todo el mundo me miraba a ver si me reconocían y después se quedaban haciendo especulaciones sobre quien podía ser yo.

A pocos Kilómetros encontré la fauna que se ve en la foto y que sospecho que no es autóctona.
