12-Jan-2002 -- Our adventure started on a cloudy saturday morning January 12th. We left by car and with an objective of getting as close as possible to our point of confluence.

Along the way we were lucky enough to see 3 moose ( they didn’t seen to be bothered by our presence )

The group was made up of my wife Suzanne Nolet, my daugther Annie Brisebois and a friend Christian Blanchet, my sister-in-law Doris Nolet and Alain St-Georges.

No longer being able to continue by vehicule our GPS indicate that we still had 4 more kilometers. We used an old logging road then finally we cut through the forest to our final destination. We could have travelled by snowmobiles but we felt it would be more of a challenge using snowshoes. There was about 60 cm of snow on the ground, very little for this time of the year as we are around 49N lat.

Using the GPS our point was quickly found in the middle of a marsh. This gave us the occasion to prepare a lunch over an open fire.
