02-Mar-2001 -- Visting this confluence was part of a day-trip to place the first ever geocache in the state of Wyoming.

The trip from Granger to Fontenelle reminded us of how big and empty parts of Wyoming are. We drove the 50 miles on US 30, State 240, US 189, and State 372 without seeing many other vehicles.

Street Atlas did a good job until the last, when the road I'd planned on following wasn't there but a faint track on the edge of a pipeline was. Mary watched the GPS receiver while I guided the truck from rut to rut. When we were at N42 latitude, we stopped and then followed the line of latitude west until we got to the right longitude. This was Columbus's plan to find his way to the Indies. Worked better for us than it did for him.
