(visited by Tsvi Kuflik, Tal Kuflik, Orit Kuflik, Paz Kuflik and Asaf Kuflik)

06-Aug-2002 -- This was our second day in our family trip to Lappland/Finnmark. We started today's trip at about 09:00 at Kaamanen, Finland and we were heading towards the North Cape. We drove north on E75, through a beautifull green and relatively flat area. We turned left to road number 92, at this point the country became hilly - we were going up and down in a hilly area, as we drove there were a lot of raindeers crossing the road and running on it. We crossed the border to Norway (hardly noticed the border station) and stopped for a while at Karasjok - where we visited a local Sami center.

Then we turned north and continued north on E6 towards Lakselv. On our Michelin map (1/1.500,000) the confluence seemed to be allmost right on E6, but it was not..When we got closer we found an unmarked dirt road leading east, toward the confluence. We followed the road, past something that looked like a transformation station and got to a youth hostel, located less then 500 meters from the confluence.

We parked the car at their parking lot and Asaf and me headed to the confluence while the rest of the family just wandered around at that beutiful area - it was a hilly area, next to a small lake, the right place to hike a little.

Following the GPS to the exact location was easy. we got to the point that was located a little below a hill top and overlooking a pretty lake, took several pictures and headed on to Lakselv.
