30-Aug-2003 -- I finally visited this confluence on the way back from a work trip to Albany. Mike Manessis had visited nearly three years ago, and I was curious to see if he was using WGS84 or the Australian datum at the time (AGD84), which meant his visit would be about 200m out. As it turned out, he must have been using the older datum - sorry Mike :*(
Brian and Julie Lange own the 200 acre property, "Carnegie", and run about 500 sheep - just a small farm, as Brian teaches in nearby Narrogin. They were shearing and apologised for being too busy to talk much, but were very friendly. The confluence point made the local paper a while ago, and Julie promised to hunt around for the article and send me a copy for the DCP Pressroom.
This is one of the easiest confluence points to get to. You can see from pic 2 that I was able to drive almost all the way, up to the second house on the property, then walked through the yard and back along the fenceline. In the left foreground you can see a small orange flash (which is actually my camera case) right on the confluence point - my car is in the yard, and the star-picket to the right marks the third confluence visit, 16 metres from my zeros.
