(visited by Patrick Waser and Andreas Heini)

17-Nov-2003 -- Having already visited 34N 9E and 33N 9E during our two weeks' vacation in Tunisia, the next attraction were the big dunes around Bir Aouine. On the way to Bir Aouine, it would be only a little detour to the Confluence 32N 10E. Unfortunately, Bir Aouine lies in a restricted area in southern Tunisia, so we had to get permission. In Tataouine, this was achieved easier than we expected. Half a day later, we were on our way to Kanbout, an entrance to the restricted area. In Kanbout we found out that our permit was missing a stamp. So we had to drive back 12 km to the next town Remada to get it.

When we approached the point closest to the CP on known tracks, we once more found some tracks heading in direction to the CP. This CP lies on top of a large but flat hill. We had to leave the tracks only for the last few hundred meters.

At the Confluence Point we found small stones in every direction, and some very small bushes on a sandy patch nearby. The hill the CP is on has a flat top, so it doesn't help with the view.

Because it was already late when we arrived at the CP, we spent the night from November, 17 to November, 18 there. All pictures shown were taken on November, 18.
