#1: View to confluence point

(visited by Juris Lavendels and Linda Beinare)

13-Mar-2004 -- Second attempt to achieve last unvisited point in Baltic states, first time we can't cross river, there simple isn’t any bridge despite clear map information (see my previous attempt). Also if you look in map, then is clear that all around point is only swamps and rivers, so we decide wait till winter, to all water freeze over. So at last is nice sunshine spring weekend and we jump in car to drive in already familiar direction. Road near river was full with snow, so we make about 1km long walk, despite my worries river was with solid ice over. On other side nature start to be thrilling, with many animal tracks (we also see couple of elks in about 60 m, but they run away little bit to fast to make photos ....). Also there is strange place with fallen pine trees, look like some kind of local tornado. Next we cross little grassland with abandoned house in the middle, and in birch grove at last find confluence point.
