28-Aug-2004 -- For our sailing vacation in the Adriatic Sea we chartered a 32-foot sailing vessel, Bavaria 32, named "Ta Mala". We started at Vrsar on Saturday, 21 August and left the ship in Zadar after 19 days on board and 370 nautical miles.
In Germany a collegue of Sigrun showed her the missing confluence 44°N 15°E in the Adriatic Sea at confluence.org. So we planned our trip spending one day for visiting this confluence.
On Saturday, 28 August, starting early in the morning from the beautiful bay TelašÄ‡ica in the south of Dugi Otok, we reached the confluence point in northwest direction at 11:04:13 p.m. after 3 1/2 hours and 23 nautical miles. We checked our position with two GPS devices: a handheld Garmin GPS12 and a Vison C-Map Plotter (navigation equipment inside the vessel).
The weather was good: sun and blue sky. After we had taken some pictures from the confluence we continued our journey to ACI Marina Žut (island of Žut).
