12-Oct-2004 -- I'm very happy to have visited my first confluence point in Mali, where just 2 points of 108 are visited! I've the chance to have family and friends living in Mali.
We hired a car to go near the point, 5 km to the northeast of Yélékébougou, a beautiful little village like all the others in Mali. I choose this point because it was the nearest from Bamako, and the nearest to a practicable road: 200 m.
As you can see in the photos, the point is in the savannah, but a few paths let me think that we weren't the first visitors. I hope this point will be the first of a big list because I'll come back to Africa.
