English narrative

10-Oct-2004 -- The point is directly on the ridge Chandolaz at an elevation of about 700m above sea level. From Nakhodki it is only 20 km by road, that is, first to the village Ekaterinovka, by a poultry farm and directly into a forest. By car it was possible to approach within 1.5км of the point, and farther on foot. But having climbed to an altitude of 490 meters it was found that farther on the steep rock is approximately 100-200 meters in height, and to the point still remained 450m, so to visit the exact site it is necessary to approach the ridge Chandolaz from another flatter direction, instead of climbing on top of 'Devil's Cliff'. As this all happened about 19:00 on Sunday, i.e. in an hour it should darken absolutely, to Vladivostok it was necessary to go even another 200km by night, in the process it would be not less than an hour to get out of the forest 'roads' to a highway, so to climb on the mountain was not sensible - another time, somehow...
