09-Oct-2004 -- Having missed out the one immediately to the south west of Athy as being too much out of the way, we proceeded (via Kilkenny which is well worth a visit) to the next confluence point .

Passing through MIlltown which is a small country town where Ireland once held the Eurovision Song Contest we hit the unclassified roads and headed past the Knocknakilla stone circle.

It was possible to park within about 800m of the spot but that entailed a long walk uphill through boggy ground to the spot . Views to the North , East and West complete the picture.
