12-Sep-2004 -- With visitors from New South Wales, we decided to take them for a drive in the country side. So that was a good excuse to look for a C.P. And also to look for wildflowers that are out at this time of the year.
We left our home in Rockingham and passed through Mandurah and on to Pinjarra. Then we headed south on the South Western Highway until just past Yarloop, we took the road to Logue Brook Dam. Heading for the south side of the dam the distance to the CP was falling but 400 metres was as close as we could get.
I knew that other people had got a lot closer, but Sue and I decided to give it a go. We couldn't get across a small creek without getting wet, so we returned to the car and tried some other roads. This time we found the right road and parked he car 40 metres from the CP. So the whole group made it to the CP and also saw plenty of wildflowers.
