The purpose was to enjoy the holiday and hunt two more confluences in Goiás, each time farther from Brasília. Since our friends went to different places in the holiday, only Kelly and I decided to hunt this confluence. We are the ladies confluence hunters.

After the 16°S 51°W confluence hunting, near Jussara, we went to Aruanã – a city in Goiás state, situated by Araguaia Riverside and at Mato Grosso state frontier. We drove some Kilometers as far as Britânia and more 40km of a non-paved road as far as Aruanã. We arrived at that city around 4:00p.m..Then, we ate a delicious fish by the riverside.

On Monday (Nov., 1st), we woke up early and went out looking for one more confluence: 15°S 51°W. It was on the way to Matrinchã city (around 15 km on the non-paved road). As we were on this road, we could identify the nearest farm for us to get on the confluence. So, we entered in order to ask for permission. Since the owners were not there, we stayed at the farm waiting for the manager. He had gone to a small city near the São José farm. We stayed there until 11:00a.m., when the manager finally arrived and gave us the permission to proceed.

The GPS indicated that the confluence would be only 1400m far from the house, but the people in the farm insisted that we should go by car in order to preserve us to walk under the burning sun. Murilo, the son of the taskmaster, was chosen to go with us. We drove as far as we were only 300m far from the confluence. The whole area is very plain. Therefore, when it rains, it becomes completely soaked. When we were 100m far from the confluence, we noticed that we were at the end of that property. On the other side of the fence, there was a cerrado area full of high trees and closed crowns of trees. We tried to go forward, but the bush was so closed that the GPS would lose the satellite signal.

So, we decided to mark that hunt exactly there, since it is considered to be a valid confluence if the mark is at until 100m far from it. We took some pictures and expressed gratitude to all the people in the farm. Then, we drove back to Goiás Velho. When we arrived there, we could enjoy some of the marvelous food of the Goiás state kitchen. Finally, we came back to Brasília very happy with two more conquests.
